TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Isaiah 61:1-4
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,"
God can use anyone. For Him, there is no worthy and unworthy person. He is not looking for the smart, the handsome, the rich, the popular or the perfect according to the world's standard. Though those things could become the beneficial supporting factors, God is oftentimes looking for the ordinary people whom other people may underestimate.
When Jesus started His ministry, He neither chose the ordinary people nor the Scribers nor the Pharisees nor the wise. Instead, he called fishermen, tax collectors, ordinary people who lack of good character even the sinner. Yes, since the beginning, God never looks for someone based on their ability because the power of His anointing that will enable anyone who has been chosen to do His will.
Even more till today, God is still looking for people whom He can use to continue His works to reach the lost souls. Not only the pastors and the full-time minister that He would call to do, but we, the ordinary people, are called too. We need to realize that we are not called to shine our light, but to reflect His shining glory that many people may see His love light which brings life. And by doing so, they could find their hope back and experience life restoration.
Brethren, start to observe your surroundings. Ask God to give you the spiritual sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Let God use you to help, heal, restore, even to bless others. It is not a coincidence that you are working or studying in the place you are standing now. It is not even a coincidence if you met many people. Not an impossible thing that God will do something in their lives through you. Now, two things that you need to do is to be willing to be used as His instrument and start to take an action in total obedience and submission.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, JESUS IS WILLING to touch and restore the life of the lost and so are we as well as the BODY OF CHRIST.
APPLICATION
Try to remember the moment when you were touched by God and experience restoration. What did you feel?
Have you ever met people who have the similar problems like yours? What did you do?
In your opinion, what does God want you to do?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, thank you for Your love that could bring life to me. I long to share the love with those who are in need. Give me the spiritual sensitivity and the firmness to be Your instrument. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
