TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
John 10:10-28
TODAY'S RHEMA John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
Women can get so excited when they go shopping or just spend time taking a walk in mall or supermarket. Furthermore, the excitement will be doubled when they see a sign "DISCOUNT UP TO 70%". They could easily fall into temptation. For example the main purpose of the shopping trip is to buy herbs in herbs section, but they will walk around to other sections and start to pick less necessary things. Not often some women forget to buy the things on the list and buy the other things.
The fact above does portray our lives. You might have a good start: you obey to do the will of God; you tithe; you faithfully do what God wants you to do; you become a good child of God and etc. But along the way, you begin to look to the right and left. You see that your friend is blessed abundantly though he never tithes. Your neighbor never joins cell group but her business is growing rapidly. Your fellow worker is being dishonest in doing the financial report and never attends Sunday service, but it seems that he has a very good life, or anything else. If you do not guard your heart, you could lose your focus and it is possible for you to walk out from your path, walk further and you find yourself have lost the direction and purpose in life.
Devil will always look for ways to make you shift your focus from the will of God and the vision God has put in your life. He will be using worry, greater offer, and much easier life to live to draw you further from the good start you have made. Believe that no matter how hard the obstacles you have to face, if you stay on track of God's path, sooner or later you will reach the abundant life. That's His promise.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, STAY FOCUSED on GOD, THE GREAT SHEPHERD, that we will not lose the DIRECTION AND PURPOSE IN LIFE.
APPLICATION
Is there anything that bothers your mind which causes you lose the focus in your life? If there is, bring the thing before God and tell God about it!
Remember again God's promises or rhema He has told you to strengthen yourself. Write it down and say it many time that it dominates your heart and your mind!
