TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

James 1:2-21

TODAY'S RHEMA
James 1:19 "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry"

The key to all kinds of relationship is communication. Be it husband and wife relationship, the relationship in a family, the relationship in the workplace, the relationship between friends or relationship in the business world. Research proved that effective communication depends on the listening capability. However, in our society these days, the desire to be heard is stronger than the desire to listen. Our relationship with others may seem fine but how many of us can take it being cornered, hurt and disadvantaged? Finally, as the form of resistance or self-defense, we might be drowned in emotion and loose temper.
Not without any reasons and purposes that the words of God telling us to slow in speaking because if we allow our heart to vent out in anger, then we would probably be out of control. Sharp words are very dangerous as it could spark disunity and spoil any relationship. If it is happening, it will cost us our precious relationship.

Brethren, if we are about to face a situation that triggers our anger, bring the anger to God because it would be better if we express our feeling to our Heavenly Father so we will be calmed and peace. Let's surrender our heart and our mouth to be controlled by Holy Spirit then we will be avoided from an unwanted situation.

God is pleased when we could use our mouth to say good words. Words that comes from the Scriptures are encouraging, consoling, strengthening, restoring and bringing joy to others and we also glorify God through our words.
