God is Always Faithful Keluarga Allah Daily Devotional November 02, 2016
TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 2 Timothy 2:5-13
TODAY'S RHEMA 2 Timothy 2:13 "...if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself."
There was a time during our childhood when there were so many traditional games played by the children because there were not many electronic games available. Every game has its own rules, every rule violated will cause some penalties for those who break the rules. Thereby, we all tried our best to be very careful in making our steps in the games, but we all did our mistakes, and mistakes would bring us a defeat. In the next game, we would try to be more careful and sharper in making our ways, in order to avoid defeat and to gain victory.
A similar situation also happens in our life, we can take a wrong decision or move onto a wrong path in every aspect of our lives as no human is perfect in his/her own way. Only the Lord who has the perfect wisdom to guide our lives. That is why we should pay attention to His guidance and read His manual book all the times, which we commonly know as the Holy Bible. It is a book that gives an inspiration to us about how God will direct our path. And if you have done many mistakes in the past, do not be so disappointed because you can rise up again by the help of the Lord.
David is a good example of a man who always sought God in all of his ways. Aside from his success and his fame as the king of Israel, he was also a man who did wrong too. But in the end, he always returned to the Lord, and with his own desire and his humbleness, he always sought the Lord, repented from all of his sins and allocated time to meet the Lord face to face. David's faithfulness in seeking the Lord made him dwell in God's favor. Therefore the throne of king of Israel never slipped out of his descendant lines. God was faithful to bless David and his descendants during the old testament time and finally the Messiah was also born as one of his descendants, and in this case, God's big plan for giving salvation to the whole world was fulfilled by David's son.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, when we took a wrong action, REPENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, because GOD IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL.
APPLICATION God is so faithful and will always be faithful, He always accept us just the way we are. But do you know your position in front of Him? If you took the wrong actions in the past, repent and seek His forgiveness, He will surely wait for you faithfully to do that.
TODAY'S PRAYER "God, Your faithfulness is so amazing that no other can have it. You always accept me just the way I am. You always wait for me, protect me when I sleep and hold my hands when I walk. Draw me closer so I can continue to be with You all the times and to be faithful to You just as You have been faithful to me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen." YEARLY BIBLE READING
