Matthew 26:30-75
TODAY'S RHEMA
Matthew 26:75 "Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly."
When Jesus was arrested in Gethsemane in the most historical night, all disciples who were with Him had left Him. Only Peter who had followed Him from afar even he sat between the guards in the yard of the high priest. He was so worried. However, when the crowd recognized him as Jesus follower, he denied Him repeatedly for 3 times and as the rooster started to crow, he remembered what Jesus had said to him previously. Peter then left and regretted.
As the quote of the world said; regret always comes late. The word "regret" seems to indicate that not the only regret comes in the later times but also the mistake that happened cannot be fixed. No wonder if later so many people feel that the world is over. This probably what Peter had felt. However, he didn't drown in despair, yet he chose to move on from his mistake though he realized that his sin was too big to be forgiven. He came closer to God and surrendered his life to His mercy and compassion. Till God had forgiven him and restored him even God made him one of the apostles to share the gospel publicly. Yes, God was not only giving His grace but also anointed Him to do great things that shake the world
If you currently feel that you have made big mistake, intentionally or not, we need to understand that in God, there is nothing is too "late" if we regret our mistake rightly and be willing to come to Him, then His grace will always wash away our greatest mistake and even restore all things for us.
