TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
1 Corinthians 12 : 1-11
TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Corinthians 12:7 "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good."
Ants are animal that live in colonies. Their well-ordered nests are filled with thousands of ants per colony. Each colony is possessing a large area to support their lives. There are some roles in each colony: the queen, the male, and the workers. The queen ant is laying eggs continuously. The male ant's job is to mate with future queen ants. The last, the workers, are taking care of the queen and the nest and also looking for food. Every different role is supporting the survival of each colony. We can imagine if the ants are working together, they would be having a great power. But if they are separated from one and another, they could be easily attacked by their enemy.
Someone's spiritual role for the Kingdom of God could be measured by his/her spiritual growth in the local church s/he is planted. However, attending service every week is not enough that we need to be involved in a spiritual community, in a cell group, for example. God longs us to live in harmony with fellows in Christ, to join a community (cell-group) and to be planted in a local church. We need to engage with our spiritual family and do our function that in the unity the great potential could be manifested. In unity, God can use us to do greater things. If we are separated from spiritual community and even from God, we can do nothing. Our lives will get dry and useless. Moreover, the moment we are standing alone is a great chance for Satan to attack us.
Just like our body that has various parts and each part has its own role that fits and works together, and so do we. God has given us enormous potential to develop. He lets us choose which community we want to join to maximize our potential. If we do not engage with any community, we could lose our potential and even more we could not function ourselves well. Do not let it happen. Stay and keep on growing in your spiritual community.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, we could LOSE OUR POTENTIAL AND PURPOSE if WE ARE SEPARATED from our spiritual community.
