TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 2 Corinthians 9: 9-15
TODAY'S RHEMA 2 Corinthians 9:6 "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
Most villagers are farmers. They either use the farmland to grow rice, grain or make it a vineyard. Every farmer surely wants to have a good harvest. However, they must work hard to get it. The first thing to do is prepare the soil by cultivating it and applying fertilizer.
After the soil is prepared, they have to choose the seeds. Then, they water their farm regularly, weed it, apply fertilizer and spray insecticide if need be. Farmers must also wait for their harvest time patiently. When the harvest time comes, farmers who worked hard in cultivating their lands will reap harvest abundantly. On the contrary, farmers who were lazy will only reap little, even worse, they may fail to harvest.
Oftentimes, we just want to experience harvest time. In fact, there will be no harvest without sowing. If we want to get abundant blessings or great harvest, we must sow and work hard. Working hard doesn't mean working without taking a break. It means that we give our best effort, work wholeheartedly and do anything maximally. The scale of our effort determines the scale of our harvest. Bear in mind that harvest time is a season to work hard. Do not just have a dream but work hard with God to accomplish the vision that He has given to you. When we play our part, God will surely fulfill His promise and we experience a great harvest in our lives.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, HARVEST TIME is TIME TO WORK HARD because the SCALE OF HARD WORK determines your HARVEST SCALE.
APPLICATIONS 1. Have you worked hard in your life struggle? 2. What things distract you from working hard? 3. What's your commitment to getting great harvest in your life?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, thank You for Your vision for this new year. Guide me to always work hard to accomplish the vision that You have given. I believe You have prepared great harvest for those who are willing to work hard. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
