TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalms 127:1-5
TODAY'S RHEMA Psalms 127:1 "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain."
During the revival that happened in Wales between 1904-1905, a young boy became the center of attention. His name was Evan Roberts. He had just entered his third month in theology school when God called him to minister to the youngsters in his hometown. At that time, Evan was nobody and had no chance to minister.However, at one time at the end of a prayer meeting, he started sharing God's word to those who would listen. Hours passed and youngsters began testifying, some sang hymns and others fell under the anointing.
Sometime later, Evan started his own prayer meetings. Many had come out of curiosity but left with a rejuvenated spirit. In two weeks, the Welsh revival was a national phenomenon. Evan and his friends went about and held revival services(KKR). At that time, close to one hundred and fifty thousand souls were saved, and it was undeniable that the Welsh revival had set up revivals in other places. Although history acknowledges Evan Roberts as the center of the Welsh Revival, he himself didn't. He acknowledged that he did not move the hearts of men and changed their lives. It was not him, but God that worked in him.
How true that is! The great harvest occurred not by his strength or might, it was by the Holy Spirit in Him. So is our salvation, success, and victories in our lives. It is all by the grace of God. Isn't this good news for us? Trust and lean on God alone, and His abundant grace will guide us to accomplish massive harvests in our lives.
