TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Samuel 1:1-20
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 54:1 "Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the Lord."
Abraham was a Bible figure famous for his great faith. We know that the promise of God that "his offspring will be as many as the stars" was fulfilled in his old age (Genesis 15:5). As a man, Abraham must have felt that it will be difficult if not almost impossible for him to have offspring as many as the stars because he was old and his wife Sara was barren. But, the Bible told us that those facts didn't cause him to lose faith. He believed and exercised faith. He even praised the Lord (Romans 4:19-20). In his joy, Abraham seized the promise God had given him. He didn't complain about its impossibility because he was old and so on but fully trusted in Him.
God credited his faith as righteousness (Romans 4:21-22). In the end, God helped Abraham overcome his circumstances. Their circumstances had changed into a great harvest that his offspring are spread all over the world to this day.
The same thing goes for us. We might be barren; barren physically, barren spiritually, barren financially and so on. But God knows nothing about impossibilities. He can tear down any barrier for you. Therefore lets us rejoice and be glad in Him, then He will grant our requests (Psalm 37:4). So this year will be the year of great harvest for us, even more than before. A year of breakthrough in every aspect of our life. Let us believe God's promise that 2018 will be the year of harvest and we will be used by Him to be His worker.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Thank You, Lord, for the grace you've prepared for me this year. Thank you for the great harvest. Help me, Father, to have a ready heart. I want to learn to rejoice in You. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen."
