TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalm 63:1-12
TODAY'S RHEMA Psalm 63:1 "O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water."
Mr. and Mrs. Dylan had three daughters. Dakota, the first daughter was a good daughter: polite and obedient. Whatever her parents asked her, she would do it delightfully because to her, it was her obligation as a child to obey her parents. Their second daughter, Dominic was also an obedient child. She did that out of intention if she obeys her parents she would receive rewards. Meanwhile, Dennis, the youngest of the three, she loved her parents so much that she obeys her parents because she knew that it pleases them. Out of the three responses the children had, they were touched by the heart of Dennis, therefore, she had a special place in her parent's heart.
The same for us as the children of God. There will be Christians who "seek" the Lord out of a tradition and liturgies and nothing more than an obligation. There are those Christians who "seek" the Lord for material blessing, doing what the Word of God with the intention to only receive blessings. Meanwhile, the third type of Christians, are those who really seek the Lord out of the love they have for God which stems from His love for us. For this type of Christians, God surely has a special place for them. To them, the material blessing is a bonus and not the main thing they seek after.
When we love someone, we will behave and treat them differently. We will miss them when we don't see them for several days. We will always make sure we do things that make them happy and keep ourselves from anything that makes them unhappy. Yes, that is the nature of love. Applicable to our relationship with God, when we truly love God as a result of His great love for us, whatever we are praying for that seems to be impossible, will be possible because when we seek God first above all else, everything else will be given to us accordingly (Matthew 6:33).When we do things out of love for Him, we will touch His heart and when we do that, great harvest in life, comfort, blessings and so on will not be our priority but the first love we have for God that keeps on burning and "Great Harvest" will be a given to us as a bonus.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The secret to entering the dimension of favor and great harvest is LOVE.
