TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Luke 8:5-15
TODAY'S RHEMA Luke 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
Great harvest does not happen just like that. Every farmer and good vineyard workers will know before they enjoy the harvest, they need to have some seeds to be planted well. They do not recklessly use any seeds they might have in store. Rather, they carefully select and test all the seeds they are going to use. Those seeds should be free from any dirt, have a good shape, have a healthy color, and should also be normal in size. They should know about the characteristics of a healthy seed which is high in quality, which can produce a great plantation.
The same rule also regulates our life. If we want to reap goodness and life success, we need to sow the right "seed". Even though the world says that success depends on ourselves, but the seed mentioned is not about some talents, skills, or any abilities on building relationships with the right people. No matter how good we are in working, the Lord Jesus had constantly reminded us that in reality, we can not do anything out of Him (John 15:5). He also said that the seed is actually the word of God, His own words. The same words, which created the sky, the earth, and everything in the world. The same words, which started every life forms on the earth. Without His words, there will not be any single creature created.
This same seed is the one we should obtain, but in fact, seeds are not regular words of God that we always listen to on regular Sunday service. The seeds should fall and grow in our hearts as we desire to listen to the voice of the Lord. The seeds we receive should be free from any useless dirt. We should protect the seeds so they are not contaminated by any life worries or worldly pleasures. When we keep the seeds to grow healthily in our hearts, the Holy Spirit will make them flourish and they will become "revelation seeds" which produce fruits that can be seen by others. The conclusion of this message is, Great Harvest should not be only a sermon to begin the year, but we should make it a true experience during the course of the year 2018.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, To experience GREAT HARVEST you should have GREAT SEED first. NO SEEDS NO HARVEST.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Father in Heaven, thank You for providing Your words as good seeds for me. Forgive me, Lord, if in the past I have wasted Your words. Enable me, so I can grow them and nourish them in my heart, so my life can experience great harvest. In the name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
