TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Luke10: 38-42
TODAY'S RHEMA Luke 10:42 "But only one thing is needed. Marry has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
Love isn't only about what we feel. To love is to be understanding ofeach other. Without it, we feel disappointment and this can quench the love in your heart. Therefore, to fall in love and to be in love are two different things. To be in a relationship, the need to understand and to be understood will be built and in fact, this is what will make two hearts closer and strengthen the love or the relationship we have with someone.
That is the kind of love Mary had for Jesus. When Jesus touched her life, Mary didn't stop at being amazed and grateful to Jesus but she came closer to Jesus. More than anything, to listen to Jesus was a priority for Mary. At one moment when her brother Lazarus died, Martha met Jesus on the way and said that just if Jesus was present when her brother was sick, he could have been healed, and Jesus remained calm to hear what Martha had said. However, the Bible recorded when Mary said the same thing, Jesus was deeply moved and troubled (John 11:33). From the case above, it doesn't show that Jesus was showing favoritism. He loved Lazarus, Martha,and Mary the same. Jesus wasn't sad for Lazarus was dead because He knew that Lazarus will be raised to life and the name of God glorified. What happened in the case above showed that the heart of Mary could move the heart of Jesus.
Today, let us choose the best part as Mary did in the midst of our activities. Take our time to sit at the Lord's feet to seek and to know Him, understand His heart and mind. Then, God will not only reveal His will to us but also load our lives with the great harvest. We may lose everything in this world but nothing can takeour relationship with God away. When we have God, the source of everything, we have everything.
