TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Genesis 26:1-13
TODAY'S RHEMA Genesis 26:12-14 "Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. 14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him."
God always wants to lead us into abundant living step by step, in our everyday lives. However, while we are expecting Him to guide us, our attitude speaks differently, it seems like we don't really need God. As circumstances come our way, we pray but right after it, we are busy looking for an answer without waiting on God to speak to us. All answer is in God's word, but we seem to ignore it. More than giving us guidance, God wants to be involved in our lives, but often times we are too reluctant to spare Him some time and listen to what He's got to say.
Isaac listened to God. When his homeland was struck by starvation, he wanted to migrate to Egypt but God told him to move to Gerar. Isaac's decision to go to Egypt was considered because as far as his knowledge was concerned, Egypt was the best place to get food for his family. However, Isaac didn't question God, he trusted God's promises to him and what He told him to do. In the land of Gerar, he stayed and sowed and God was working and multiplying the seed Isaac had sowed. Isaac reaped abundantly. Not only enough but way more than enough.
Yes! Our God is a God of multiplication and abundance. He knows no limit. It includes what He can do in our lives. What he did for Isaac, He will also do for us. What we need to do is to listen to His word, willingness to seize the rhema, willingness to depend on Him and follow Him regardless. When our mind and heart is fixed on Him, God grants us rhema to guide us to where great harvest is waiting for us.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, If you can SEIZE THE SEED OF DIVINE WORDS OF RHEMA, God Himself will MULTIPLY THE SEED and bestow THE GREAT HARVEST.
