TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Proverbs 10: 2- 16
TODAY'S RHEMA Proverbs 10:5 "He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son."
"Keep your stamina! We will be very busy until the last month.I don't want to hear that anyone is absent," said the manager of a restaurant while briefing his employees and the New Year holiday was just around the corner."Some of us may have to work over time. However, we must serve the customer well. The employer will give bonus after the holiday ends," he added. Restaurants are usually full during holiday seasons, especially those located in tourist spots. It's their harvest time. The holiday lasts for a short time and chance may not come twice. Restaurants' owner must use this moment maximally to get as many customers for maximum profit.
The story above was like what happened to Israel when they warred against five kings of Canaan. Joshua and his troops didn't feel satisfied with the ordinary victory. Joshua commanded the sun, it stood still and the moon stopped. Joshua and his troops didn't neglect the chance God had given. They forgot their own need because they realized there might be no second chance. God also interfered and heeded Joshua's prayer. Israel took vengeance on their enemies so they got their great victory that day.
The year 2018 is a Great Harvest time for us. No matter what problems we are facing now, God will answer our prayers beyond our imagination. We also need to prepare ourselves for working harder, praying more and having a deeper intimacy with God. Forget about relaxation time for God has prepared unlimited harvest with a large capacity. Keep in mind that the scale of your effort determines the scale of your harvest.
REFLECTION Harvest time is NOT RELAXATION TIME, it's time to PREPARE FOR HARD WORK.
