TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

1 Kings 19:19-21

TODAY'S RHEMA
1 Kings 19:21 "So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant."

Elisha had a very comfortable life before God's calling came to him. He was plowing with twelve yokes of oxen belong to his father when Elijah came to him. His life was changed after Elijah's visitation. Elisha decided to leave his father's home, his job, and his old life in order to follow Elijah. The long journey as Elijah's servant wasn't easy and of course not as easy as the life at his father's home. At home, Elisha was a master, but with Elijah, he was a servant. Everything Elisha did, he did with his heart. Not even once Elisha complained about his situations while fulfilling God's calling. After the time was up, God finally could use Elisha incredibly. The Bible wrote Elisha became an even greater prophet more than his teacher, Elijah, with a double portion of anointing.
Daniel went through similar experience. Naturally, he had a very good position. His life was already secured. However, when there was a challenge for him to choose between his position or his life or his Lord, Daniel chose his relationship with God above all else. The result? First, Daniel lost his position in the kingdom. His life was also at stake when he was imprisoned in the den of lions. However, as we can read in the Bible, what had happened to Daniel was used by God to turn the Israelites in repentance and the greatness of God was displayed. Daniel did not lose anything, but gained his rewards by his faithfulness!

Nehemiah also experienced the same thing. He had a good position in the king's palace, but when he saw an abandoned work of God, he stood up to take an action to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. Nehemiah did not hesitate to risk his reputation and position in the palace in order to go ahead with the plan. Now Nehemiah was known as the hero who rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem.
King David, as it is recorded in the Bible, gave his all to the Lord. He gave his time for Him. Seven times a day in the busyness as a king, King David prioritized time to worship God. In his attempt to move the Ark of God back to Jerusalem, David sacrificed a huge amount of wealth as well in a time when Nathan, the prophet, came to him to convey God's message, he didn't deny his adultery sin but he confessed it As we can read in the Bible, we could see that David's life was such a pleasing aroma to God. David was one of those with great life and inspiration to many.

Now it is your turn to carve a history before God and the heaven, as someone who is available for God because He finds you ready to sacrifice your time, energy, money and all of you for His glory. Praise Him!
