TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

Romans 1:8-15

TODAY'S RHEMA
Romans 1:9 "God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you"

Jim Johnson was given a mission by the hotel director to save the hotel from financial disaster. Many other managers before him had tried the same thing but still they failed. The hotel was already at the edge of bankruptcy and if someone makes any mistake, many workers would lose their job. Jim Johnson tried an alternative way that had never been done by other managers. He went to a hill where he could see the hotel very clearly. He stayed there for 20 minutes each day. What did he do there? He just prayed and prayed. First of all, he prayed for hotel guests coming in, so that by coming to the hotel they can stay healthy and happy and that they make a habit come to the hotel, received the best service, not only about great facilities but also warm greetings and friendliness from hotel employees. He also prayed for the hotel's guest also the people lived around the hotel. Jim also prayed for those who did businesses around that area. Lastly, he also prayed for the people in the city. He prayed so that they all could get a good living and blessings from the Lord. That was his prayer style every night. He prayed the same thing again and again. Slowly but sure, the hotel atmosphere was getting warmer, guests were coming in and business was getting better. Even though the things were getting better, he did not stop praying, asking and hoping again. Finally, the hotel was recovered and could perform above expectation of the management team. Jim Johnson had been a blessing for the hotel and all the employees who almost lost their job.

If we want God to pour out His power, blessings, and anointing on us, we should become someone who really press in in our prayer, it means praying with all of our heart. When a disciple was really serious to learn something, it means he should concentrate fully on his lesson, and close himself from all distractions that might disturb him. He will pour out every of his time, energy, mind, heart and all he has to study and to learn more. Not only one or two hours, but days, months or even years. This determination if done with the right heart or motive would draw prayer answers from God.

If we are committed in our prayers, it means we can concentrate on our prayers, close ourselves from all distractions, and spend the time to pray seriously. Let us take part and sacrifice our time to pray for all things happening around us, this way our lives can be used by God greatly, as Jim Johnson's life was in the story above. God bless you.
