Great fanfare in Rio de Janeiro, Sunday evening, 15th of August 2016 filled the air as a young runner from South Africa, Wayde van Niekerk won a gold medal. He didn't just win the gold medal nor break the record with his pace but he also set a world record for the 400 meters track and field sprinter.
In an interview he said that when he reached the first 200 meters he realized that he had left all other runner behind. In that instant, he could see the gold medal will be his which spurred him to run faster. He set his eyes on the gold medal and not to the fellow runner behind him.
Looking into Wayde's history as a runner, we could see that he wasn't always came out as a winner in the championship he attended. There was time he won, and there was also time when he had to lose. However, his failure in one point didn't make him wither neither victory made him content. He constantly train himself, look and keep moving forward, and faithful to his vision to be the fastest runner in the history.
That is exactly the attitude we need to adopt addressing the vision and dream of our life. Don't dream an average dream but set a vivid one because without clear and vivid dream we would be easily oscillated. However, vivid and clear vision would direct our mind to focus on what lays ahead and continue to achieve them, no matter what happen. Don't let yourself to soak in the past failure, nor our disability. Stay faithful to your vision God has placed in your life so that whatever we do it won't be a useless mission. Vivid and clear vision would also direct our prayer. Prayer that could touch the heart of Jesus which finally would bring miracles in every area of our life.
