TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Genesis 30: 25-43
TODAY'S RHEMA
Genesis 30:41 "Whenever the stronger females were in heat, Jacob would place the branches in the troughs in front of the animals so they would mate near the branches."
There was a testimony from a lady who had suffered from cancer. Because of the disease, she had to undergo several therapies with side effects she had to bear like losing some weight, wrinkled skin, hair loss, and many another side effect she bore. Regardless of the side effect, the lady kept on moving forward and fought against the disease. She went for therapies, counseling, ceaseless prayer and many things she did. One interesting thing was that she always carried a picture of herself while she was still healthy wherever she went. She was very pretty with long hair and flawless skin. She always looked at her picture and said: "This is me, I am healthy, I am beautiful and I am attractive. I will be healed and back to my shape soon." By the grace of God, that lady was really healed. She was back to her previous shape like it was in the picture she carried around. She was healed, be healthy again, looked radiant and beautiful just like she always had. The healing didn't take place just because she always looked at her healthy self-picture but that was one of the many factors that brought her to be healed.
Basically, human beings are visual creation. Human's brain stores memories through the sense of sight. The things that human see can be more permanently stored in brain compare to the things recognized through other senses. Have you ever met a person and you thought you ever saw his/her face, but you couldn't remember his/her name or when you met him/her. It proves that the sense of sight is more dominant for human beings. Today's verse is about Laban's flocks which gave birth to spotted and speckled goats only because when the female goats mated they had to see spotted branches. It makes us realize that what we see is what will happen in our life.
What do you see in your life? What picture do your spiritual eyes see for your life? Is it a good vision and dream? Or a bad one? If you see failure, failed business, broken marriage, those things will really happen in your life. Reality may show you that, but you have to remember, you have to use your spiritual eyes. The things you see through your spiritual eyes will come true if you let it control your vision. Don't give up. Keep on seeing God's vision and dream for your future. Put your belief on it, your vision and dream will come true if you keep seeing with your spiritual eyes and your faith on God.
