TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 17:15-20
TODAY'S RHEMA
Matthew 17:20b "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
To live by faith is not easy. In this modern world, almost all things are required to be scientifically proven. People need visible proof and strong evidence in order to accept something. Seeing is believing. Unfortunately, many believers have also adopted the same mindset. Whereas on the other hand, the Word of God says that "faith is the evidence of things not seen." For believers, faith should be the strong evidence. Yet, in contrary, oftentimes we are coming across obstacles and difficulties in our life that cause us to see the problem encountering through our physical eyes and not through God's perspective. It seems like it is easier for us to say that it is impossible to overcome our problem rather than to declare our faith in God's promises.
2000 years ago, there was a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years. In the Jewish tradition, a woman who was bleeding (in menstruation) was considered as unclean. Nobody might touch her and she wasn't allowed to touch others as well. Therefore, that woman did not only live in pain but also in exclusion. When she heard about Jesus, her hope came alive. But, she did not have the courage to ask Jesus to openly heal her in front of a large crowd of people. Nevertheless, she didn't let her one-lifetime chance to be fully healed from her bleeding to get pass by. At last, she came up behind Jesus, touched His cloak and was healed. Two books in The Bible wrote her faithful words "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed."
Today, if you face any problem, learn from that woman in the story. Even in her despairing moment, she spoke the word of faith which released the power of God. Keep on believing that with God all things are possible.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, speaking the Word of faith is the key to release God's power.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, forgive me for I often believe in what I see through my physical eyes. Teach me to have mustard seed faith and to say faithful words so that I can overcome my problems and I can glorify Your name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
