TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL

TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 6:8 "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here I am. Send me!""
Some years ago, Mel Gibson, a famous director, longed to produce a real movie about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. One reason why he needed such a long time to complete the movie was because he searched for the most right actor to fit the main role as Jesus. Mel had his own criteria and searched for the one. His eyes were drawn to an infamous simple movie titled "The Thin Red Line" where there was an actor who played a small role named Jim Caviezel. Out of the blue, Mel Gibson was so sure about giving the main role of Jesus to Jim Caviezel. Upon Mel's meeting with Jim, Jim was so surprised to receive such honor to play a big role in the phenomenal movie where he would be playing as Jesus the Lord.
Jim wasn't a big and famous actor at that time but Mel's eyes saw something in the small role of which he was playing, and an offer came to him: "Will you accept this big job? Maybe when you accept the offer, there will be many things will be sacrificed, including your career in acting. After this movie, you can't recklessly accept any offer. Like those actors who played the religious movie, their career wouldn't be as good or maybe they will lose a job. Will you take it?" Jim was on a crossroad to answer that question but finally, he agreed to accept the offer. The long days in making movie began. There was a time when Jim thought of giving up halfway, but through this role, Jim's life was taken into many restorations after restoration. There were also testimonies from crews and other actors who received salvation. Now, the whole world knows the movie directed by Mel Gibson "The Passion of The Christ" was a blessing to many. It's a great work with perfect actor selection.
If you take a time to think about the story above, it portrays the work of God as The Greatest Director. He is doing like Mel did: searching people who are called to get in the great work that He has prepared. He sees and examines to the deepest of the heart. It's not only when we're doing the big job but also the simple small one in a real life "movie", God will still find you and when He has found the willing and ready heart, the question will come to us : "Will you take part in My great work?" Make sure your answer is : "Here I am. Send me Lord!"
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God is searching those whom HE CAN USE because He will do A GREAT WORK.
