TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL John 4:19-24 TODAY'S RHEMA John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
That night, a multinational company conducted its annual general meeting for all officers working at different branches. Speeches were delivered by some members about the future and hopes of the company as well as the founder. Mr. Reza, one of the speakers, stressed his loyalty towards the company during his 20 years working there. After the event was concluded, the founder invited him for a brief conversation. Mr. Reza thought that the founder wanted to appreciate his hard work. But, he was so surprised when he was confronted with proves of fraud and misuse of his position that he had been engaging in all the while. Calmly, the founder told him "Mr. Reza, all your compliments tonight really hurt me. How could you talk about loyalty when you were breaking the rules? But I will still give you another chance. You can choose to return all the profits you obtained illegally and start to work with dignity, or you can choose to resign from the company with honor."
It is not only a company that has strict rules, but every entity and community also have their own rules. God also set some rules of life in the ten commandments that He gave to Moses. The commandments were written on stones and then the stones were put in the Ark of the Covenant which symbolized God Himself as present within the Ark. This shows that God is a God who demands truthfulness and also holiness.
When we come to Tabernacle of David and worship Him, first we have to ensure that we are in the right standing with the Lord. Avoid worship with a heart full of false intentions, and He will not see any disharmony with His will. If we really love, respect and glorify God, of course, we will appreciate all His words in our lives. Our lives are to become a pleasing sacrifice first, then our worship can then become meaningful in His eyes. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When you WORSHIP JESUS in the Tabernacle of David, try to worship Him IN SPIRIT, IN TRUTH and IN HOLINESS. APPLICATIONS 1. What does it mean to worship in Spirit, in truth, and in holiness? 2. When you worship Jesus, why can't you just worship Him only with your lips? 3. How can you worship in Spirit and in truth and in holiness? TODAY'S PRAYER "Father God, You are a holy and true God. No one can see You without holiness. Teach me to rise up to become Your mighty warrior who is willing to pay the price and to live holy afterYou, so I can be pleasing in Your sight. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
