TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Peter 2:1-10 TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Many of us are used to Abraham's story of waiting for the child of promise. When he finally received as he desired, God asked of him as a sacrifice. But what happened next was amazing. Instead of complaining or rebelling, Abraham immediately gave his only son, Isaac, as an offering to God. And we see how much the Father was pleased with his true offering. For indeed, what was seen by the Father wasn't Isaac, but the heart of Abraham. Because Abraham gave his true offering to God, He blessed him abundantly. Not only was Abraham blessed, but also his descendants and all nations on earth as well (Gen. 22:16-18).
In this era, indeed we no longer offer burnt sacrifices to God, but it's our hearts that are our true offerings. Our obedience, to the revealed word of God to us, and the steps we take in yielding to God, this the Father looks out for. Building David's Worship Tent actually speaks of our life of worship to God. That is our true sacrifice, which is pleasing to the heart of God. Just like Abraham, when God was pleased with his true offering, automatically, even a bonus of worldly blessings was given.
It's the same with you. When you have received the Rhema from Him and you obey it, by building a life of praise and worship that is pleasing to Him, then not only is David's Tent of Worship speaking about the spiritual life that will be restored, but also the Tent of the Kingdom of David, namely the atmosphere of miracles and great victories occurring on earth as in heaven.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God is not only interested in restoring THE WORSHIP TENT OF DAVID, but also THE KINGDOM OF DAVID. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you in line to rebuild The Tent of David? 2. What do you think will happen when you experience the restoration of The Tent of David? 3. What commitment can you make, to respond to the Rhema that God gave? Write it down! TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord, thank you for the Rhema that you have given to the church. I want to commit to obeying the movement to rebuild the Tent of David, Lord. Let this be my true offering until Your kingdom is established on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
