TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 61:1-11 TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
Since the proclamation of independence been read on August 17, 1945, we have been declared independent and live in freedom. But, are we truly independent? Physically and legally, yes we are independent, but in fact, many of us still become arrested prisoner. We lose our battle. We lose by trials, leads us to be the evil's prisoner. We do really want a change to happen, but we just don't know how. We do really want to repent, but we can't resist our flesh. We are shackled by many different things, it might be drugs, bitterness, pornography, money, witchcraft, fear, and guilt. But all of us have one same thing. We all have no power to free ourselves until there is one person come to release us.
Yes, there must be one person who comes to tell about the real freedom in Jesus Christ. There must be one person who raises to be a hero to tell the space to poor and miserable people, spiritually and physically. Brings joy and freedom to the oppressed, to those who suffer, who are discouraged, and broken-hearted.
One thing that is not realized by children of God: Like God has saved us from every burden in our lives, He wants us to move and save burdened people. Be aware, God has anointed us with the Holy Spirit, to rise to be who brings freedom for His church and save the lost. God wants every one of us to be fully fulfilled by Holy Spirit. Not only as a sign that we have been integrated and assigned to do God's work, but also make us able to do those works God has given to us. Today, rise and start to do as a hero. With Holy Spirit anointing, we will be effective tools to do amazing things for Jesus. (PF) REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God wants you to RISE UP to be His mighty man to SET THE CAPTIVE FREE and SAVE the lost souls. APPLICATIONS 1. Are there people around you that are being 'prisoners' and really need to be freed? Try to think about the very one of them. 2. What can you do for them? 3. How can you keep on Holy Spirit's anointing and rise to be God's, Hero? TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, Your Spirit is in me because You have anointed me. With Your Spirit's power, I will rise up, spread the Gospel, console, strengthen, and tell about the freedom to the prisoners. Back to You with the lost souls. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit always poured on me, give ability, and strength to me. Thank you, God. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen."
