TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalm 37:1-11 TODAY'S RHEMA Psalm 37:5-6 5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. 6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
James Gilmore was not a doctor, but a missionary in Mongolia. Previously he learned about administering first aid. When he was instructed to take care of three wounded soldiers, he helped them as much as possible. He gently cleaned and bandaged the wounds of the first two soldiers. When he saw the severely broken leg of the third soldier, he wasn't sure what to do. Then he bowed down and prayed, asking for God's help. After praying, a group of beggars came and asked for money. He gave them money and said some heart-warming words. Some of them left, but one beggar stayed back, not going with the others. The beggar looked like a skeleton. James looked at him and immediately realized that God brought him as an anatomy lesson. He asked permission for the beggar to examine him. After carefully searching the beggar's thigh bone with his fingers, he understood what to do to fix the soldier's broken leg.
Caring for a sick person was certainly not James Gilmore's expertise, but when he prioritized God in his life, God helped him and he successfully did the things that he should ordinarily not have been able to solve. God did not allow James to be embarrassed.
We should not only run to God in difficult times but in all circumstances. We must surrender everything to God because He is in control of all. Even though we are experts in various fields, we often cannot solve our problems. However, the human ability is indeed very limited, but God is an infinite God, with endless possibilities. When we approach God in the Tabernacle of David with a heart of worship, we will see Him come to our defense always. Amen. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, If you PRIORITIZE GOD in all things, HE WON'T EMBARRASS you, instead, HE WILL DEFEND YOU. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you prioritized God in all things? Why? 2. Why do you need to prioritize God in all things? 3. How do you prioritize God in the midst of your problem? TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, please forgive me if I still focus on the problems and on myself. Teach me to start prioritizing You in all things so that I can know Your will for my life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
