Becoming a member of the British Royal family is one of the dreams of most women. Kate Middleton is undoubtedly one out of millions of women whose dreams came true when Prince William married her, thus, making her become a bona fide member of the British Kingdom. As a consequence, she had to learn the mannerisms and etiquettes of the Kingdom, such as how to respect and pay homage to the Queen. For example, when Queen Elizabeth II stands up, everyone else in the room must do the same. And when Queen Elizabeth II walks down the aisle, all gentlemen must bow their heads, while the ladies bend their knees. These are only two examples of the many ways one must pay obeisance to the Queen.
If so many etiquettes and rules are implemented in the British Kingdom in honor of the Queen, how much more should we show our respect to the Lord of all, the King of kings, the maker of the universe, and the ruler over all things! God deserves our utmost respect and worship.
When we worship God in David's Tent, we should not hesitate to express our utmost reverence and worship to God. Whether we're introverts or an extrovert, when we stand before the kings of the world or very important people, we bow our heads and/genuflect as a sign of respect. We should do the same when we find ourselves standing before God's presence. Let us not hesitate to lift our hands, sing our hearts out in worship, bend our knees, and even lay prostrate before the Lord. We must leave our pride behind and offer the sacrifices of praise and respect to God who has ransomed us and clothed us with His righteousness. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, PRAISE AND WORSHIP is a LIFESTYLE of the Kingdom of God, so let us come boldly before the Lord, the KING of kings, and give your utmost respect and glory to Him. APPLICATIONS 1. Why should you worship God with the utmost respect? 2. What are the things that keep you from singing your heart out in worship to God? 3. What commitments will you make to give God the honor due Him in worship? TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord, You are more than worthy to receive my respect, praise, and glory. You are the King of kings, Lord of lords, my God who deserves to be praised and glorified. Teach me to always show my respect and reverence in Your presence. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
