TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Psalms 84: 1-13 TODAY'S RHEMA Psalms 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my GodThan dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Toni was frustrated at the close of work. He was under a lot of work-related stress. He was handling three ongoing projects at the time and all three had to be completed for delivery the following day. With the deadline approaching, coupled with a tight schedule, Toni has run out of his creativity juice. In what felt like a dead end, Toni decided to take a break from it all. He went to pray at the Tabernacle of David at church. There he uttered gratitude for an abundance of grace God had given him. He asked for fresh insight and renewed strength from God so as to complete the pending projects. In worship, it dawned on Toni that his whole life and works belonged to God. He felt a surge of excitement within him. He felt hopeful, believing God owned all of his projects, so He will enable him to finish them. Toni's spirit revived and became full of worship to God. Upon returning from the Tabernacle of David, Toni immediately gathered his team. They discussed and brilliant ideas and solutions never discussed in previous meetings came out of the blues. Eventually, Toni completed the three projects very well.
The children of Korah who wrote Psalm 84 were the ancestors of holy musicians. They always longed for and craved the presence of God. They understood that the Lord provides respite for the oppressed, He provides safety in times of trouble. Remember that God is also enthroned in the Tabernacle of David, a place to worship and praise Him. A place where our hearts and God's meet.
We are grateful that our church holds the Tabernacle of David meeting where we can always come to God whenever we long for His presence. When we meet with God, His holiness and beauty rub off on us. When entering God's presence, do so with a deep longing. Lift up your worship and praise to Him alone. Worship God in spirit and truth. Open your heart to His touch. Let Him take over your life and problems, then we will definitely feel God's extraordinary presence and visitation. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Only in the TABERNACLE OF DAVID, you can praise God with INTIMACY, WHERE YOUR HEART and GOD'S HEART MEETS. APPLICATIONS 1. What has been your prayer focus recently? 2. Do you believe that God hears your prayers? 3. How can you keep the fire of God's visitation aglow in the Tabernacle of David? TODAY'S PRAYER "Lord Jesus, I am so thankful that You are my God. You are the eternal Father who loves me eternally. You are Prince of peace that brings peace to my life. I always long to be in Your presence. Your name is a strong tower, may I always remain in You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen."
