TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 60:1-22 TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 60:5 Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
There were once two poor villages in a kingdom. Those villages were located in the North and the South respectively. These two villages were chosen to be the King's resting areas, one in the summer, and the other one in the winter. The King allocated a big sum of money to be used to renovate the villages. The Northern village immediately took some of the money to transform slums into luxurious cottages. Their reasoning was that whenever the King goes, there will be a big crowd that follows that would need a place to sleep. On the contrary, the Southern village decided to gain more insight into what the King likes and what kind of place will please him. Based on the information that they had gathered, they built a resting palace for the King. They cared less about renovating their own houses. They prioritized the King's need above their needs.
Over the course of time, after the King had stayed in both the Northern and Southern villages, he felt that the Southern village offered much more comfort to him than the Northern village. He even spent more time in the Southern village than in his own palace. Eventually, to spend more time with the King, other congressmen and other respectable guests sponsored the Southern village to build cottages for them. The Southern village became bigger and wealthier. In contrast, the Northern village lost its attraction and became poor again.
Just like what the Southern village had done, we too should seek to understand God's Rhema on God's longing and then build the Tabernacle of David that will please Him, so He can always reign in our lives. When we seek first the Kingdom of God and all of its righteousness, God will not turn a blind eye to our needs. He will shower us with blessings that are unimaginable, so we can rise to be a blessing and light to declare His glory to other people. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, When The Tabernacle of David is REBUILT, God will bring forth RICHES, GLORY, and POWER among you. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you gotten a rhema from God to build David's tent? Why? 2. Why can wealth, glory, and success flow from God when the Tabernacle of David is rebuilt? 3. How can you be involved in the rebuilding of David's tent? TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear Good Father, give me discernment so I get your Rhema to know in details what you desire in building the tabernacle of David. I want to be the man who rises up and moves in order to reveal Your glory, so I can be the light of the nations. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
