TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL 1 Samuel 18:5-27
TODAY'S RHEMA 1 Samuel 18:25 Saul replied, "Say to David, 'The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.'" Saul's plan was to have David fall by the hands of the Philistines.
Adversities do not always indicate trouble. In today's Bible reading, we can know how Saul hated David and was about to destroy him. Multiple times, Saul plotted his evil plans toward David. King Saul purposely ordered for David to be put at the front line among thousands of other soldiers, hoping that David would fall by the hands of the Philistines. However, he did fall nor he died, but instead, he won an extraordinary victory which amazed the people of Israel. Next, Saul used his daughter as a bait. He offered his daughter to be David's wife, in exchange for 100 foreskins of the Philistines. David accepted the challenge and not only did he gather 100, but 200 of them. David became even more famous and Saul began to fear David.
God's power and guidance never change, yesterday, today, and forevermore. To those whom God loves, He not only protect, but His guidance is amazing. Saul planned for evil, but God turned things around. Through every of Saul's evil plans, David was promoted instead and the Israelites grew very fond of him.

Troubles may come, but with God, we will emerge as the victor. The harder our problems, the bigger the victory we will gain, and God will take us to the next level. Amen.
