TODAY'S RHEMA

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.

"I feel that God is not caring for my life anymore," said Randy to his cell leader. He is currently facing many adversities. A year ago, his family went bankrupt, and he did not acquire the funds needed for his tuition and daily necessities, despite his thesis looming around the corner. At that time, the only way out seemed to be a personal loan. At first, it wasn't much, but it quickly accumulated into a huge debt he could not get out of.

Hasty decision making based on logic, that is our main problem. King Asa experienced it as well. Initially, he was reliant on God, but in his 36th year, King of Israel and Aram planned an attack on him. Asa then sent a tribute from God's treasury to king of Aram. His plan seemed to be a success, the king of Aram canceled the attack and attacked Israel instead. Beyond all expectation, God revealed that He had planned to hand Aram to Asa, but since Asa was not reliant on God, he no longer attained God's favor.

Yes, in rough waters, oftentimes we feel overwhelmed and small. But stop leaning on your own understanding (Prov. 3:5). God has promised to not test us beyond our strength (1 Cor. 10:13). Through all our trials, God wants us to realize that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13). Trust that God is not done with our lives, He isn't a half-hearted God (Phil 1:6). God intervenes for us, that we may trust Him completely, that we may truly glorify His Name.

REFLECTION

Saudara Terkasih, OPEN YOUR HEARTS WIDE and DO NOT RESPOND WITH YOUR LOGIC, so that God's plan might CHANGE YOUR HEART.

APPLICATIONS

1. How is our attitude in waiting for God's visitation?
2. Why are you not supposed to respond to God's visitation logically?
3. How are you going to wait for God's visitation?

TODAY'S PRAYER

"Good Father, thank You that You are always with me, giving me strength and consolation. While all doors may close, I believe that You have your ways for me, and this door that You open will bring me into a greater likeness to Christ. Let all that I encounter be purely for Your glory. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
