TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 54: 1-17
TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 54:2 Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtain of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes.
Sometimes ago, Indonesian was amazed by the patriotic act of Joni, he climbed a 12meters-flagpole to fetch the broken rope. This seventh-grade boy saved the commemoration of Indonesia Independence Day in Belu Regency, NTT. What he had done drew an admiration from a citizen. Even, the President appreciated his brave action. His climbing ability actually developed from his daily routines to help his parents after school. Joni always climbs and picks tamarind to earn money for his family. From this activity, his skill in climbing developed day by day. As the youngest child from nine siblings, Joni could refuse and choose to stay at home for he had many older siblings to do. However, Joni didn't have this kind of thought and attitude, he chose to pay the price. He worked hard and it means he had a little time to play with his friend. His sense of responsibility developed from his young age even grew as a patriotic of his nation, Indonesia that he didn't just watch in the sideline when his National Flag failed to raise.
In the Bible, we may also see the youngest David who was doing what was commanded by his father in such a responsible manner. To face lions and bears was David's daily activities while tending to his sheep. He might not realize it was God's way to train him for defeating Goliath.
Things which God allows us to do are not a coincide. Start to be faithful over small things because it's the way of God to prepare us for doing many greater things. We only need to enlarge our heart's capacity to pay the price, work and learn harder so that we are ready to receive God's bigger responsibility. By this way, we are able to step up to the next level with bigger trust and responsibility. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The first secret to receiving BIGGER TRUST from God is to ENLARGE THE CAPACITY OF YOUR HEART to PAY THE PRICE. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you enlarged your heart's capacity to pay the price in doing every task God has let you do today? 2. In your view, how is the way to receive bigger trust from God? 3. What preparations does God want you to learn, practice and do more? Mention! TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, I'm thankful for every preparation You have given to me. I will do everything in front of me steadfastly and wholeheartedly. I want to enlarge my heart's capacity to pay the price so that I'm ready to receive the bigger trust from You. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
