Like most children in this modern age, it was easy for Timmy to access the advanced technology. When he was just a teenager, he already had the most sophisticated smartphone. Of course, the expensive cell phone was given by both parents because they loved him. Other than being able to easily contact parents and friends, he found a lot of entertainment in it. He also downloaded a game that was famous. He did it to entertain himself at first to ease his boredom. However, the content of this game was very exciting, and he got used to it down to being addicted. Let alone remembered to pray, his study time was also used to play games resulted in his declining achievement. Hence, he might fail grade in high school. Even so, he still can't stop playing. Every time he tried to shift his attention from the game, he always failed. The game seems to have enslaved him.
Talking about slavery, of course, we remembered the Israelites that was suppressed in the Land of Egypt for 430 years. During that time, of course, there were efforts that they made to free themselves. Even so, they still get themselves shackled in slavery. Meanwhile, God seemed to close His eyes to their condition. But, the Bible noted that God heard they moaned and remembered his covenant with the nation of Israel. So God acted and delivered them through Moses
How many of us now living as if being shackled. We couldn't seem to get rid of the addiction, debt, failure, conflicts, guilt, bad habits, or so much more. Like Israel, shout to God, so that He who is faithful will visit us from His holy mountain. He will break every shackle, give answers, and divide the "Red Sea" for us. Instead of collapsing lower, He will bring us to a higher level. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, God VISITS you to give A MIRACULOUS FREEDOM from THE SHACKLES that "ENSLAVED" you all this time. APPLICATIONS 1. Is there anything that makes your life seemed to be shackled right now? What efforts that have you done to break away, and what are the results? 2. Why does God want to give you a miraculous release? 3. How can you experience? TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, thank you for always caring about my condition. Help me, Father to be freed from the things that shackle my life so that I too can glorify Your Name through the testimony of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen."
