In a book entitled "A Man Called Peter", Catherine Marshall writes about her son's anxiety about school. Peter John is feeling anxious when he becomes the first grade of primary student because he finds out that it is different from kindergarten. In primary school, he is demanded to read and write. Unlike in kindergarten where he can freely play. He tells his father about the uncomfortable change he must face, but his father says "You will get accustomed to it, Peter. You will study for such a long time, 12 years in school and 4 years in university." Peter is shocked. He needs a few weeks to accept that bitter reality. When he is playing with his toy train and Lego bricks, he starts crying and says "I'm scared, what will happen to me when I get into university?"
Catherine thinks that her son's behavior shows anxiety. She writes in her book "When you start to feel anxious, remember that God knows your anxiety is meaningless and foolish, just like Peter's." God views your problems and difficulties are the same as little Peter's. If you hope that all the problems don't come to you, it is the same as letting Peter not have any education. Peter has to go through all the process to prepare for his future.
God will never forget about you. It is easy for him to overcome all of your problems. But, He knows what's best for you. He wants you to grow up, from a little kid to a mature adult, to become his strong child. So, when He comes visiting you, you are ready to receive His mighty visitation. You are ready to do great things in Him. He will bring you to the higher level. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Even though God never forgets you, it does not mean that your life will be free from problems. APPLICATIONS 1. What problems do you face? Do you hope for being free from it? 2. Even though God is powerful, why can't your life be free from problems? 3. How do you respond to overcome your problems? TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, thank You for your guidance in my life. I believe that every problem in my life is in Your hand. You allow me to have those problems because You know that I need those all in order to make me grow stronger. So that I am ready to do great things in You. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen
