TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 54:1-10 TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 54:1 "Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the Lord.
Nelly's birthday was getting closer. She was looking forward to the day. She wanted to know what her parent would give as a birthday present. For the past few years, she had asked for a joint vacation to Disneyland as a birthday present, but there was still no sign that her wish will be fulfilled. Until the day of her birthday arrived. After school, Nelly found a gift box on the dining table. When she opened it, Nelly shouted, YES! Happily. Yes, in the box were a holiday ticket to Disneyland on Christmas holidays. Even though she still had to wait for a few more months, even though Nelly had not seen the appearance of Disneyland before her eyes, but she knew for sure that her parents' will take her to Disneyland for Christmas holiday. She was during the waiting time because she believed that the day will arrive soon.
Each of us must have our own struggles. There are those who long for a baby in their arms, some who long to have a home of their own, some are longing for their families to be restored, and so on. Often in waiting, we face many problems that make us wonder whether or not God answers our prayers.
Through today's reading, we are reminded again that our struggle and waiting season will end soon. Even though there is currently no sign we have seen, but remain firm in our faith that the harvest of answers to prayer will come soon. We need faith and His word to be able to receive God's promise fulfilled in our lives. Therefore, raise our level of faith even higher and rejoice as we have received the great harvest He promised. Like what we believe, that is what we will soon receive. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Rejoice! Because GREAT HARVEST filled with GRACE and ABUNDANCE is here. APPLICATIONS 1. Do you believe that the year of a great harvest is coming soon? 2. To you, why do you have to have a heart that rejoices always in this waiting season? 3. What do you have to do to have a firm faith while waiting for the great harvest? TODAY'S PRAYER "Father I thank you for the confirmation. I believe that this year is indeed the year of a great harvest. Please enable me to do my part to not see by sight but by faith and in this waiting time because I know your promises will be fulfilled in just no time in my life. In Jesus name, I pray, amen."
