TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Mark 12: 28-34 TODAY'S RHEMA Mark 12:30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
It was Long drought. No one knew when the rain will fall. In every farm, where trees were supposed to bear fruits, they withered one by one and died. However, there was a strange sight on the certain corner. It was a vine which is fruitful. No one could certainly explain about this miracle, even people who had been working for a long time on that farm. They called it a phenomenon. Though sometimes phenomena rarely happened and couldn't be explained, it didn't mean that it couldn't. Cause and effect law still existed. A hundred meters from the vine was a river. On the side of that river, it could be seen plant's roots out of the ground. Yes, it was the root of the vine. It had lengthened its root to a spring for quenching its thirst.
We will experience many seasons in life. Though God so loves us that His love never fails, we will not always be able to feel His love. There are times we feel that the Source of Love gets farther from us. Problem and hardship come, our inner men are dry and there's no anointing of Him. Even, people around us seem to distract our eyes from God. They will try to make us give up and leave His calling and to think about all of the things in our own way and not think the way God thinks.
Doubt may bother our hearts but don't let our steps in Him be shaken. As the vine which never gives up to find spring water, we should never stop searching for God. Love God more passionately, don't let hardship and people's opinion agitate our love for God. Let our commitment to love God touch His heart so that He anoints us greater than before. When people witness how God brings us to surpass impossibilities to the higher level, they will also glorify His name. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, If you can INCREASE your COMMITMENT to LOVE GOD, you will receive THE GREATER BLESSING. APPLICATIONS 1. How is your commitment to love God these times? 2. Why do you need to increase your commitment to loving God? 3. What will you do to increase your commitment?
TODAY'S PRAYER "Kind Father, forgive me if my love for You ever lasts conditionally because of long hardship in my life. I'm willing to learn to be rooted deeper in Your love, to love You more passionately in any kinds of situation. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
