TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Matthew 25:14-30 TODAY'S RHEMA Matthew 25:27-28 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
In one fine day, a famous singer was recruited to serve in a great church. He served ebulliently at the beginning. Not only that, but he was also trusted to be a worship leader. Having a beautiful voice and brilliant ideas to be used in the ministry, slowly he felt like all the ministry-related stuff were burdened to him. He tried to get it off his chest to other servants a couple of times. Finally, this news was heard by the church's leader and tried to advise him with a loving heart. Despite being advised many times, this worship leader was never changed and kept complaining, and resulting in he was discharged due to his misconduct.
Everyone must have at least one talent in his life. As a believer, we believe that talent is a responsibility given by God. The thing is, how do you respond to that responsibility? Undoubtedly, the more talents you have the higher responsibility that you bear. In today's food for the soul, the servant with five talents gave an extraordinary lesson. He saw his Master's trust as an honor for him that made him do his best. In the end, he was given greater responsibility. Unlike the servant with one talent who saw the talent as a burden and buried it, he ended up facing desolation.
Today, let's realize all the responsibilities that have been given by God; ministry, job, family, study, or anything. No matter what responsibility, perceive it as a privilege and big chance from God. Hence, you will work it with excitement even though it might be difficult. When you do it wholeheartedly, God will take it into account and give you greater and nobler responsibility. His promise to bring your life to a higher level will be fulfilled. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Perceive responsibility as a privilege instead of a burden, thus God will add His trust in your life. APPLICATIONS 1. What kind of responsibilities given by God to you? 2. How do you respond towards the responsibilities? 3.
