TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Isaiah 49: 1-7 TODAY'S RHEMA Isaiah 49:6 Indeed He says, 'It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.
The splendor and glory of Asian games 2018 are still filling the air even though it has ended 2 weeks ago. Some athletes contributed gold medals for Indonesia. One of them was Jafro Megawanto who contributed gold medal for Paragliding in men's individual accuracy category. His interest in Paragliding appeared in his teenage year for he often played in paragliding's field. Finding a chance to earn money and help his parents, he became a Paraboy (someone who enfolds parachute). From that moment on, he had a motivation to become one of those athletes. As the time went by, he was offered to become an athlete and learn to dive. Eventually, he got a license as the paragliding athlete. The story continued, Jafro had a strong will achieve a great achievement, he participated in both national and international competitions. The recent competition was Indonesian Asian Games which brought him to be the champion and contributed gold medal for his country. Surely, Jafro's effort doesn't stop at this point, there will be a bigger destination and achievement wait for him ahead.
As we observe goal by goal Jafro has achieved, we also experience the same process in our daily life. Each of us is given a work and calling which is in accordance with our ability. What we do today prepares us to do the next tasks. The same as our today's rhema, there's a bigger task is waiting for us ahead that God will entrust in the field we are in, including our calling. No matter what call we have already received and what things we have done now, let us train our sensitivity in order to know and get the message also the bigger task from God. Then do it steadfastly to be the light and as God's representative for the world. Just believe, God's work in our lives hasn't finished yet. He still longs for bringing us to the higher level. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Realize that RESPONSIBILITY and BIGGER CALLING from God is waiting for you. APPLICATIONS 1. Why do you need to do your task well? 2. In your view, what thing is waiting for you? 3. How do you respond bigger task from God? TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, thank You for giving me the task I am doing now and preparing the bigger one. Help me to do it steadfastly. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
