TODAY'S RHEMA Acts 4:31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
Kathlyn and her friends had just graduated from school. Before each of them started to work, they decided to go for a vacation together to Bali. Kathlyn and her friend agreed to do a road trip. In the beginning, their journey was exciting. They stopped by in some cities and enjoyed the culinary and atmosphere. But because of the excitement of adventure, they lazily queued at the gas station to fill the tank only once and want to reach their destination as soon as possible that they forgot to check their gasoline gauge. Finally, the car broke down in the middle of nowhere.
Just like a car which needs gasoline to keep running, we also need passion to keep up efforts to realize our visions. But unfortunately, like the story above, sometimes in our life's journey, we also forget to fill up our passion tank. As a result, when our struggles seem to last like forever and we get hit by troubles, it causes our passion to wane. At some point, we no longer feel like going on. We tend to be passive and unproductive. However, in today's passage, we see how the disciples of Jesus carried out God's great vision with blazing passion. In their preoccupation, they realized their need for the fullness of the Holy Spirit. So no matter how much trouble they faced, they were still able to run with the vision boldly.
Just like the disciples of Jesus who were filled by the Holy Spirit, they did not forget to ask for more infilling, and we should do the same thing and never stop asking from time to time. Make time to come into His presence and let the Holy Spirit fills you again and again. Yes, it is true, it is not a job, vision or achievement, that we should prioritize first in our lives. Pursue the Holy Spirit. Prioritize relationship with God, then surely His anointing oil will ignite our passion and keep it burning. Because it is His anointing that will give an impartation of the spirit, power, and inspiration to continue our journey. With His passion, we will produce good and great works in our lives, and that will make our lives to be a remarkable one. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, THE SOURCE of working with PASSION is the ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you sought the anointing of the Holy Spirit for everything that you are working on? How has your passion been ignited by the anointing of the Holy Spirit? 2. Why do you need the anointing of the Holy Spirit in your life? 3. How can you receive His anointing from day to day? TODAY'S PRAYER "Good Father, I fully realize that I need You in chasing my dreams, passions, and visions. I, therefore, open my heart to you. Fill me more and more, with the burning passion that comes from You, so I can do greater works for the glory of Your Name. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
