Fiona then explained, "Well, I did. But every time she goes out, she always has branded wears on. So when I asked, she told me that she often receives the endorsement and additional royalty." Upon hearing her comment, he said to his wife, "God blesses people differently. Didn't I give you a credit card to shop every month?" His wife seemed to be defensive and unwilling and said, "You did. Last night, I checked her on social media, and found out that her husband is handsome and caring."
One of the weaknesses of man is an unhealthy comparison. This could be seen among the Israelites when God brought them to the Promised Land. After they were settled, they got jealous of other nations who had their own kings. Instead of being grateful to God who had led them Himself, they chose to install themselves a King. In the end, the Kings they elected brought them trouble and made them sin. They lost God's favor and went into exile. Many times unconsciously, we often compare our lives with others. We compare our job with others; our education; and even our ministry. We then forget to be grateful for what God has given us. Let's ask for His forgiveness. Start giving praises and believe that what God has given us is the best for us. When our hearts are filled with praise, we will experience an extraordinary life with God. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, To have A GRATEFUL HEART, stop COMPARING yourself to others. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you ever compared your life to others? What happens to you when you do it? 2. Why do you need to stop comparing your life with others? 3. What commitment can you make to have a grateful heart? TODAY'S PRAYER "My good Father, please forgive me for comparing my life with others most of the time. From now on, I make a commitment to stop comparing and start giving thanks for everything You have given me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
