Everyone agrees that a favorite person is always close to our hearts. Almost everyone has something they are fond of, be it a favorite football team, football player, pet, artist, automobile, etc. Nowadays, many automotive clubs exist in Indonesia. Generally, when somebody wants to purchase a favorite car, he will be loyal to it. He will also add some accessories, such as modern stereo, latest rim, tires, stickers, etc. All is set to the owner's taste and comfort. However, no matter how advanced the technology, man-made products always come with attendant flaws and limitations.
What if we became God's favorite, God who has everything? As a loving God, He would also love us relentlessly. He would not only take care of us but also lavish us with His mercy. We would not live an ordinary life, but we would do the extraordinary with Him. Our relationship with him would become intimate.
In conclusion, God wants us to live with the consciousness that we are His favorite. Without that consciousness, there'll be no desire to get closer to Him or open our hearts to receive His overflowing love. With this consciousness, all the feelings of worthlessness and inadequacies will be dispelled because we do perceive and taste how good His love is. We will become addicted to His love. As the days go by, our spiritual hunger will get bigger and we become full-time God chasers.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The revelation and consciousness that you are GOD'S FAVORITE enable you to LIVE BY FAITH and DEEPENS your RELATIONSHIP with Him.
