One day, a group of Intercessors from church went to visit a young man who fell sick. He had been vomiting blood but no doctor could diagnose his illness. His parents then thought he was being bewitched, therefore they decided to invite the intercessor's group to pay him a visit and pray for him. During the prayer, the young man began to manifest. He vomited a lot of blood and experienced healing afterward.
His parent had no clue as to what was happening to their son. After some investigation, the intercessor's team from church found out that this young man had bitterness towards his father. In his childhood, this young man often witnessed his father maltreat his mother. Even though his father had already repented, the experience had left a scar in his heart and hadn't been dealt with, he had not been able to forgive his father. But thank goodness, after the incident, he was ministered to and received inner healing. He forgave his father and his family was restored.
Of a truth, hatred is destructive. It not only destroys relationships but also destroys us. Hatred is cancer in the heart that can destroy us in all ways. Hatred can blind us from seeing the light of God's truth and keep us in the dark so we can't experience life as promised by God (1 John 2:9-11). Therefore let do away with any form of hatred lurking in our heart and practice forgiveness. Ask God to touch you and cause His love to flow through you so that you are enabled to forgive and love those who wrong you. Let us not jeopardize the fulfillment of God's promises because of our stubbornness. (Matthew 6:14-15). REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, As long as you still hold on to hatred in your heart, you will not be able to experience an EXTRAORDINARY LIFE. APPLICATIONS 1. Have you ever been hurt by someone else? Have you forgiven him/her? 2. Why do we have to do away with hatred and forgive those who have hurt you? 3. What can you do to get rid of all sources of hatred in your life? TODAY'S PRAYER "Father, search me and know my hearts, help me to see if there are still traces of hatred in me. Please touch and soften my heart with Your love so I can learn to forgive and to love those who have hurt me. Because I believe that through forgiveness, healings take place in my life. In the Name of Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen."
