Joan Lunden, the host of a TV programme called Good Morning America (GMA) reminisced on her first experience hosting the program in 1978. She, along with David Hartman, had to interview many celebrities, politicians, and kings. She also had to deal with a lot of misinformation. Many people said that she was only being used by the officials. Barbara Walters told her that she must not oppose the officials or she would end up like her female superiors. Walters also urged her to make the most of every opportunity so as to unlock greater opportunities.
Joan became popularly known because she took many risks as host of GMA. She ever climbed Mendenhall glacier in Alaska, did bungee jumping, jumped from a 42-meter-high bridge, skydived above a 600-meter mountain in New Zealand, and went rafting in Georgia River. After 17 years of being a host, reporter, and writer, she left GMA with many achievements and awards.
You may feel like you're not doing what you really want to do. The job you have now is not your dream job but you have no other choice. You are not alone. Many people feel the same way. However, it is a matter of choice, liking the job you now is a choice you must make. When you choose to be unhappy with your job, you will be trapped in a cycle of boring routines.
