TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL Hebrews 12:1-15 TODAY'S RHEMA Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
There was a wife that had been nurturing bitterness toward her husband for many years. She hated him so much and even more after listening to what her friends had to say about him. She couldn't trust her husband. Her life was so miserable and filled with negative thoughts, suspicion, and fear. Her days were nothing but intense arguments with her husband and threatened to divorce him a few times. A good night's sleep became a thing of the past as she became paranoid. Day after day, her life felt empty, hopeless, and meaningless. One day, she met a counselor who told her that every bitterness had to be uprooted if she wanted to experience a victorious life. She shoved it aside at first because she thought that the fault was not hers but her husband's. However, the Holy Spirit reminded her to try forgiveness. Right after she forgave her husband, all bitterness, hatred, and her wounded heart was taken care of by God, she was able to live happily, respect and honor her husband, and she also could sleep soundly at night and have a better view of life.
You might be experiencing something similar to the story above. Take action in faith and don't waste any more time. Don't demand others to change, don't wait for others to apologize first, go ahead and practice forgiveness, release those you hate and those who hate you. Uproot any bitterness, do not give any chance for it to sprout again and enjoy a hate-free life. Because without hatred we'll be able to live a prejudice-free, worry-free, happy and extraordinary life. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Rather than living a life in bitterness, choose to uproot hatred.
