Have you ever watched the cartoon Doraemon? The story is about Doraemon, a future robot that has a magic pocket. It contained sophisticated inventions. One day, Doraemon emerged and Nobita's asked Doraemon to take out some kinds of magic tool out to help him. Nobita was an uncontented person. Every time Nobita saw Suneo, one of his friends, had a new toy, he would ask Doraemon to take something new out from his magic pocket as well.
Whether we realize or not, most of us are like Nobita. It is hard to be content with what we have had. We always want more. We keep asking for His miracle, blessing and focus only on His "magic pocket". Without realizing it, we see God as "our answering robot". Not being thankful enough, we're unable to see that He's greater than all those things. Not being content with what we have, we focus on what we don't have.
By today's devotional, makes us realize that our life is not only for chasing after worldly things but let's set our eyes on God for He will never leave nor forsake us. We will never be insufficient because God, Himself has promised if we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things shall be added to us (Matthew 6:33-34). By focusing on Him, an extraordinary life which we can only find in Him is waiting for us ahead. REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, LEARN TO BE CONTENT, that way you can always BE THANKFUL. APPLICATIONS 1.
