TODAY'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Job 42:1-6

TODAY'S RHEMA
Job 42:5-6 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

Fueled by the love of God, a young couple David and Svea Flood departed for Belgian Congo in inland Africa to fulfill their calling. Their journey wasn't an easy one. They were rejected by the people there that they had to live in the forest. There was nobody they could evangelize to except a little boy they once in a while bought food from. Malaria and hard labor at childbirth took Svea away from David. He blamed God for all the challenges he had to endure. He was angry at God. "How my life was such a waste". Disappointed and felt neglected, he left the land, he returned to Sweden and spent the rest of his life in hatred and alcohol. At the age of 73, he heard that the little boy he once preached to have become a great evangelist with 32 home cells, some Bible Colleges, and a 120 capacity hospital. Upon receiving the news, he shed tears, he realized that his life wasn't a waste.

Difficulty in life, failure, and hurt often times has caused us to hate life and see ourselves wrongly. That also causes us to feel that God has left and forsaken us (Job 10:8). We undervalue our life (Job 3:11). Our mind and words are nothing but negativity.

However, no matter how hardy our problem is, don't walk away from God. But just like Job, draw closer to God and seek his will, and when you do that, you will find your true value in the sight of God and that He has a great plan for us. Don't let hatred and negative thoughts take away from you the great life God has prepared. The word of God says the tongue has the power of life and death, those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21) Speak blessings over your life, and the peace of God will reign and free you from any hatred.
