TODAY'S RHEMA Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things."
In his book entitled "The Power of The Subconscious Mind", Dr. Joseph Murphy explained that if our mind focuses on diseases and weaknesses, we will become weak. Otherwise, when we fill our mind with strength and positive thoughts, we will be strong and healthy. This is the power of the mind. It exerts so much influence, that's why oftentimes the devil attacks us by throwing negative thoughts at us. Consequently, because of being influenced by negative thoughts, we often say careless things and tend to make mistake.
As believers, surely we want to experience the best things from God in life. It is certain that the only way to counter the devil's attack is by filling up our minds with the Word of God. Jesus Christ did the same thing when He was tempted by Satan after having fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness. He defeated those temptations with the Word of God till eventually, the devil left Him (Matthew 4:1-11).
From now on, make a commitment to meditate on the Word of God continuously. Do it daily so that your mind becomes accustomed to thinking positive thoughts. Start to think about victory, success, miracle, restoration, breakthrough, winning the lost, great revival and other blessings. By focusing on the Word of God, actually, we set our thought and heart on God and His promises. Our faith gets stronger and our spiritual hunger gets bigger each day. Our faith and spiritual hunger will bring about the fulfillment of His Word in our lives.
