In your entire life, do you know someone who loves you so much that regardless of what you do, how you hurt or even ignore him/her, but still that person love you regardless? They never say 'no' when you ask for help but always open their arm to you. If there were anyone like this, do you think you will be able to continue to ill-treat or disregard such fellow? Will you not give in to their kindness and love?
Such perfect love is what the Lord Jesus displayed. It's no wonder why a person who used to live however he wished, and satisfied himself with all the pleasures of the world, living a life devoid of the fear God encounters Jesus is transformed. He becomes a man who is so in love with God, faithful and overwhelmed with God's personality. It is because he has experienced the love of God and so fascinated that he would not want to lose his love, even for a second. Without experiencing God's love, it is impossible for a person to change and desire to be intimate with God. Only when we personally experience God's love will we become addicted and continue to seek Him.
When we truly reflect on what God has done in our lives, we can see how great and deep His love is. Not by our good deeds, but only by His grace alone can we be restored and receive salvation. Nothing will become too costly to give up because we prefer to walk with God. For only in Him we find true strength and purpose. His Love and mercies are new every morning!
