One day, Daisy was strolling along a shopping center. She passed through a stall and she kept her eyes on a purse displayed in front of the stall. "What a beautiful purse," she murmured. She then continued walking. When she reached home, she was still thinking about the purse. The more she thought about the purse, the more it captured her heart than it did the previous day. However, she kept ignoring it. The next day, she had an appointment in a restaurant inside the mall. Once again, she passed by that stall where the purse was displayed. The meeting was ongoing but she couldn't stop thinking about the purse. At last, after the meeting, she decided to buy the purse.
There are many Christian who still haven't been able to experience the Holy Spirit personally. Considering that we are His temples, we need to remember that the key to true Christianity is when the Lord lives in us and we in Him (John 15:4a). However, most of us don't understand how to invite and let the Holy Spirit dwell in us. One way is to make Him the only focus/center of our lives. It is just the same as the story above. When Daisy couldn't stop thinking about the purse, her whole thoughts were about the purse. It made her fall in love with it and wanted to own it.
That same way, when we decide to constantly fill our thoughts with God's things, our thoughts will be automatically filled by the Holy Spirit. Just like the Irish proverbs, "What fills the eye fills the heart," we need to have a heart that thirsts after Him. When we live with the Holy Spirit, great things will certainly happen in our lives. The more we experience the Holy Spirit, the more real His works will be in our lives.
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, The key to EXPERIENCE SPIRITUAL HUNGER is to make the HOLY SPIRIT THE CENTER OF YOUR ATTENTION; He EXISTS, is REAL, and DWELLS in us!

TODAY'S PRAYER "Dear God, I want to make You the center of my attention daily. I long to have a heart which always hungers and thirsts for You. I want the Holy Spirit to fill my life and heart so that You can use me to do great things. Thank You, Father. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
