"Honey, I'm sorry I'm gonna come home late tonight because the meeting has just finished. I will bring your favorite meal also. I love you". Lilly was surprised by the short message sent by her husband. He had never explained the reason why he came home late before. She was annoyed by the fact that her husband neither answered her calls nor replied her messages, so upon receiving that message, she was curious as well as pleased; her heart was glad. She then rushed to her bedroom and got dressed for her husband, put a light make up on. She also prepared a cup of tea for her husband. That night, instead of a cold-war, the night was filled with warmth and love.
Sometimes, the busyness, the stress of life, and especially the feeling of being accustomed to themselves makes husband and wife negligent. They forget that love must continue to be nurtured. Not to mention the presence of the children in addition to bringing happiness, also comes with greater demands. Intimacy between husband and wife no longer becomes a priority. As a matter of fact, intimacy between husband and wife is very important to keep the family together, because divorce is certainly not God's will and it can threaten the fulfillment of His plan in marriage.
We must make our spouses as special as the first time we met him/her. Recall what makes them special to you and do it again even though you are in different circumstances right now. Start small because if you continue, it will become a good habit. When we treat our spouse in a special way, don't be surprised to see a positive reaction from her/him and our lives will become a blessing and reflect the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
