Retah McPherson was living a life many dreamed of. She had a loving husband and two sons aged 12 and 3-year-old. Moreover, she had just been crowned in a beauty pageant contest in South Africa. However, her life took a 180° turn when she and her family had an accident in 2004. Aldo, her son, got his skull damaged. For a very long time, Aldo was dying and needed to use life support machine. Since the incident, Retah started to rely on her faith in God. The miracle then happened. Aldo, who was said to have no chances of living, woke up and wrote down what he had just experienced with Jesus in heaven and hell.
Retah realized that she was only living her good life by doing good deeds before that accident took place. She didn't really know who God was or what Christianity really meant. She didn't experience the Holy Spirit and never heard him speak. The fact was that Holy Spirit was really close to her, inside her. Eventually, God taught her that the first step to having a life full of the Holy Spirit is to die self. When the body has been filled with the Holy Spirit, only then will the stream of living water flow abundantly and be able to bless others.
Indeed, as a man of the spirit, all aspects of our life should be dominated by the Holy Spirit. Get closer to God in prayers and understanding of His living word. When we live in the spirit, we will grasp God's voice through His word. The Bible then will no longer be just letters but it will be seen as God's heart, the living word. Prayer time will not be filled with complaints and demands to God, but an intimacy with Him. From now on, let's make a commitment: Holy Spirit you must become greater, I must become less (John 3:30).
REFLECTION Saudara Terkasih, Key to experience THE DOMINANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT is to let THE HOLY SPIRIT FILL ME and BE GREATER in your life.

TODAY'S PRAYER "Abba, I believe the Holy Spirit is in my life. Teach and guide me to let the Holy Spirit become greater in me. I want to have a life dominated by Holy Spirit to be fruitful and be a blessing to others. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
