How do we feel when we find ourselves in a new environment: a new school, a new neighborhood, or even a new workplace? Some of us will feel scared and nervous. We don't know about the place we're heading to. We don't know about the environment we're going to face. Will our new friends, teachers, neighbors or co-workers treat us kindly? Will we socialize well? When we feel that way, we will experience difficulties in building relationships with people around us. However, that feeling will fade away when we get to know them. The anxiety, worry, and fear is replaced with happiness and joy. We have new friends, new neighbors and new co-workers. We even start missing them when we don't see them in just a couple of days.
The same goes for our relationship with God. Many of us don't know about His love the right way. We have the wrong information about God's love so that our idea of His love isn't correct. We don't know how to savor and perceive God's love correctly so we're not able to enjoy the beauty of His love. As a result, we feel numb and not passionate about pursuing His love.
Therefore, it's very important for us to be able to savor and understand His love correctly so that we can experience His goodness. In order to truly understand how long, and wide, and high, and deep His love is. This is the key to the genuinely experiencing God's love and spiritual hunger. REFELCTION Saudara Terkasih, THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE to experiencing GOD'S LOVE is INABILITY to discern His love PROPERLY. APPLICATION 1. What things are preventing you from knowing God's love the more? 2. How can you discern the goodness of the Lord properly? 3.
